Comments Policy
To all our Valued Visitors,
First of all, thanks for opening this page and reading this.
I would like you to know that I love your comments to this site. However, we do tend to watch out for some that are either abusive or are self serving commentaries from certain individuals that either mock our polls or mock the candidates in the polls as well as our other visitors.
Let me be very frank with you. I personally believe that if you do not like this poll, you have the option not to vote and not to come here. If you do not believe this poll then run away and do not look back. Pretty simple. You are invited to this poll to vote for free, to comment for free and enjoy it for free but not to attack us or anyone here.
It is better for the many who enjoy the polls to just be left with the competitive nature of this site rather than go through trashy and offensive comments and personal attacks from some bitter-than-gourd fanatic of one of the candidates. Slamming another commenter or the candidates or even us is totally unnecessary. Just vote and be merry.
So in order for us to be in the same page, I would like to present what I think this site should do with your comments as an Administrator of the site so there are no surprises. If your comment has been edited or deleted, then this is one of the reasons.
Consider these Rules as our official Comment Policy.
- Keep comments on topic – any comment that appears to be off-topic will be edited or deleted.
- No keywords in author names – we prefer that you use your real name or your normal nickname. If we suspect you’re using an author name to simply include targeted keywords, we’ll either edit or delete your comment.
- External linking – external links are Ok, if they are relevant to the original post and your comment. Simply linking to your own site will be frowned upon and may be deleted.
- Profanity, Offensive and Foul words – we’re PG13 here. Moderate language is allowed, but we reserve the right to edit out or delete anything offensive. We reserve the right to classify comments that are offensive based on our discretion and taste.
- Clawback Clause – If your offensive comments have been missed for deletion or left there in the first pass, it doesn’t mean that we already allowed it. We may remove them at any time at our discretion.
- Personal attacks – personal attacks (e.g. defamatory, discriminatory) on the candidates, authors or other commentators will result in an immediate ban.
- Dominating the system – we encourage your comments, but we’re watching for any activity that looks like you’re “flooding the blog” to make it look like you are dominating the site (say using different names but with same IP Address) or you just want to dominate the comments page by chopping your comments so it can go long and wide on our page. If we feel you’re simply adding comments in order to achieve “domination? status, we’ll either remove your comments or ban you from the site.
- Reports from Visitors – If you offended anyone on this site, you may be reported by other visitors. Reports from other visitors may be considered if we feel that they have merits. We are the ultimate arbiters here with respect to your comments. See rule no 1 and no 4.
- PollMaster’s Right – While we encourage comments that challenge or offer constructed criticism, we reserve the right to edit or remove any post, for any reason.
We appreciate our readers and thank you for adding to the discussion. We hope the above will help you to add value to PinoyPolls.com, find value in the comments of others, and continue enjoying the site.
